About Us

The Sokoto State Ministry of Health emerged as part of the administrative structure following the creation of the State in 1976. As the principal institution responsible for healthcare administration, it plans, coordinates, and implements healthcare policies and services. The Ministry is dedicated to overseeing public health programmes, hospital management, and primary healthcare development across all local government areas.
