The Department of Finance and Supply is the financial custodian of the Sokoto State Ministry of Health. This unit handles the day-to-day accounting operations, including the preparation of payment vouchers, management of the cash office, bank reconciliations, and the disbursement of approved funds to various departments and parastatals.
Procurement & Supply Chain
Operates the Ministry’s central administrative storage facilities. This unit tracks the receipt, warehousing, and systematic issuing of office supplies, stationary, and non-clinical equipment to various departments.
Acting as the primary internal control mechanism, this unit conducts pre-payment and post-payment audits to prevent financial leakages, ensure strict budgetary discipline, and enforce compliance with public service financial rules.
