HEALTH COMMISSIONER INSPECTS THE UPGRADED GAGI GENERAL HOSPITAL PROJECT

The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Sokoto State, Dr. Faruk Umar Abubakar, has paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the construction site of the newly upgraded Gagi General Hospital to assess the progress and quality of work.

During the inspection, the Commissioner reviewed the project, currently at the foundation stage, and examined the design plans for the new hospital blocks under construction. He made some recommendations for structural adjustments to ensure the project meets approved standards and global best practices.

Dr. Faruk Umar Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the quality of the foundation work and the construction materials being used, stressing the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring quality healthcare infrastructure across the state.

The contractor handling the project, Usman Halidu Kanya of Essence Worldwide Services, appreciated the Honourable Commissioner for the visit and the valuable recommendations, assuring him of the company’s commitment to delivering a high-quality project within the agreed specifications.

The Commissioner was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Health, Alhaji Ibrahim Haliru Dingyadi, mni; the Executive Director, Health Services Management Board, Dr. Bello Abubakar Attahiru; and Directors of the Ministry.
