Flag-Off of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Week (MNCHW) in Sokoto State

The Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Week (MNCHW) was officially flagged off at PHC Kofar Kade, Sokoto, by the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Faruk Abubakar Wurno.

The event was attended by the SA to the Governor on Primary Healthcare, Dr. Muhammad Bello Marnona, the Ag. ES SSPHCDA Dr. Bilyaminu Yari Sifawa, representative of the NPHCDA, development partners, and other key stakeholders in the health sector.

The exercise underscores the Sokoto State Government’s commitment to improving maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes through increased access to essential healthcare services, immunization, nutrition interventions, and health education for women and children across the state.
